The St. Mary’s Hospital/Health Care Auxiliary held their 2014 AGM on Monday, November 25 at the Sechelt Legion.

The new Board members were sworn with a traditional candle lighting ceremony officiated by Karen Archer who is a past president and member of BCAHA. Taking part in the ceremony were Vicky Forest becoming President, Carole Murray becoming Second Vice President and Gayle Bennett who is now the Past President. Away but taking office in January are: Fran Miller who will be First Vice President, Lorraine Blakeman will be Treasurer and Gerry Nimmo will be Secretary.

Guest speaker, Marina McBride, Manager of Residental Services of Totem Lodge and Shorncliffe, gave an inspired talk on how the auxiliary has supported Totem and Shorncliffe.

Invited Guests were Gerry Latham and Ian MacDonald of the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation. The Sechelt Legion provided a wonderful buffet lunch.
