The HMB Branch was pleased to provide both Pender Harbour and Sechelt Food Banks with $745 each on December 17. SCHA Volunteers were out on Friday Dec 6 and Monday Dec 11 adding a festive look to the Sechelt shíshalh Hospital and outbuildings by decorating 9 trees. The SCHA was invited to celebrate the 60th year anniversary of the land gifting on which the Sechelt shíshalh Hospital now stands. Marion Joliceur is a Sechelt member who volunteers at the Thrift Store. At this years Sunshine Coast Art Crawl she knit these adorable stuffies and dressed them up for sale. She donated $50 of the proceeds to the Thrift store. Thank you Marion for your time and generosity to the Auxiliary.
The Sechelt Branch of the SCHA generously donated $2500 to the Sunshine Coast Community Services Society in support of their Building Together project, a community effort to build 35 units of affordable housing for women and children and a new community hub here in Sechelt.
