The SC Healthcare Auxiliary Thrift Shop recently unveiled its refreshed appearance, featuring new window decals in an underwater theme, showcasing an open treasure chest accompanied by playful sea creatures. The design aims to inform passers-by about some of the other areas of the SC Healthcare Auxiliary and bring some joy to families and shoppers alike. The marine themed stuffed animals hanging in the window complement the design and are for sale. They have proven to be a popular way to showcase and sell these items and will continue to be put on display.

Additionally, the side bay windows behind the book section have undergone a significant transformation. Following past challenges with damage, these windows have been expertly repaired and now blend seamlessly into the building’s exterior.

These enhancements, led by the late Warren Jones, also include the installation of outdoor sensor lights and additional security cameras, along with the replacement of the Go-shed. Warren is dearly missed by those who worked alongside him, and to commemorate his commitment to the SCHA a carved ‘Warren’s Shed’ sign will be installed on the go-shed to serve as a lasting tribute to his vision and the positive changes he inspired for the Auxiliary.

Thank you to Peter Shelley for creating our song.
