2026 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary’s Granting Program. We are very proud to be able to continue to support our community with these much-needed healthcare grants.

This year’s successful applicants are:

  • Vancouver Coastal Health Adaptive Fitness Program –  $3,173.70
    This program allows adults with developmental disabilities to attend a health and wellness program at the Gibsons Community Centre. This program helps with mobility, heart health, and socialization.
  • Arrowhead Clubhouse – $10,000
    Arrowhead is a place where people living with mental illness can come together to learn skills, get support and build relationships in a safe, stigma-free environment.
  • Sunshine Coast Community Services – Family Programs – $40,000
    Supporting families on the coast through the Bellies & Babies, Dads Matter, Kids in Motion, and Parent & Tot programs.
  • Sunshine Coast Community Services – Better at home Program – $10,000
    Helping seniors with simple, non-medical home support services, so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.
  • Calvary Baptist Church– Jubilee Giving Garden:- $6,000
    To expand an enhance the garden to provide more healthy organic food to many people and families in need.
  • Hospice – $10,000
    To fund Hospice volunteer training,  to help people who are dying, their caregivers and their loved ones.
  • Pender Harbour – Food Security Program – $10,000
    To provide low-income seniors with nutritious food.
  • Pender Harbour Clinic – $10.000
    For the purchase of medical equipment for the clinic
  • Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre – Memory Café – $5,000
    The Memory Café is a  weekly program to support individuals with dementia and their caregivers, providing exercises and conversation designed to stimulate cognitive functioning.
  • St. Bart’s Hot Lunch Food Program  – $10,000
    To help reduce food insecurity/social isolation for disadvantaged, marginalized and vulnerable persons in the community by providing regular hot lunches.
  • Sunshine Coast Youth Program -$5,431.84
    Funding a nature-based therapeutic recreation program supporting the mental wellness, resilience, cultural identity, and social connection of youth aged 14-19 on the Sunshine Coast.

The total amount awarded to this year’s grantees is $119,605.54.
