Executive Director Nick Gaskin extends heartfelt thanks to the SCHA for joining the Pender Harbour Health Centre’s 50th anniversary celebration on August 15.

The community open house showcased the grand opening of the newly renovated Primary Care Wing. The afternoon starting with a warm welcome, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with our CEO Anne Selder, holding the scissors, along with guided clinic tours every 30 minutes. Families and local residents gathered at the Madeira Park facility to enjoy light refreshments, anniversary cake, face painting, and gift bags for children, celebrating five decades of community-led healthcare services. 

Auxiliary representatives also presented a generous $5,000 cheque from the SCHA for much-needed bus repairs. 

Nick shares, “The event was a tremendous success, with attendance surpassing our expectations. It was a delight to see so many supporters of the PH Health Centre come together to celebrate this significant milestone. Thank you for being a part of this event; we genuinely appreciate your collaboration and support. We look forward to continuing our relationship and partnership and exploring future opportunities to work together.”
