On June 24, SCHA executives Jacqui Jones-Cox and Karyn Henwood visited Mrs. Knight’s grade 3 class at Davis Bay School.
This wonderful class, which includes grades 1, 2, and 3, had been learning about money as part of their curriculum and created an in-class store for students to shop at. Each child brought a used or handmade item from home to sell in the store, and together they decided where the profits would go. We are thrilled that they chose the SCHA as their recipient! As a delightful surprise, Karyn read a book she authored, titled “Too Hot To Moo,” from their classroom library. The children enthusiastically joined in as they knew the lines by heart.
