Congratulations to all the amazing sewing enthusiasts in our community.
In just under 2 weeks, Karen Biddlecombe mobilized the Auxiliary, teamed up with the Sunshine Coast Quilters Guild and delivered OR Scrub Hats, Scrub Bags and Masks to the Sechelt Hospital, fulfilling a request made by the Hospital Foundation to help protect staff at this critical time.
Between April 8 and April 16 they made:
- 90 scrub hats
- 123 scrub bags
- 97 masks
Grand total of 310 items!
A big thank you to: Kim T, Martha T, Laura M, Helene J, Marian W, Merilee M, Darlene F, Tess, Maria H, Karen P, Anne S, Carol B, Mira G, Moira S, Trish C, Carla W, Maureen L, Val M, Maria L, Darlene, Martha W, and Karen B. (apologies if any names are missed!)
