To provide volunteer services that enhance the quality of healthcare of people living on the Sunshine Coast. To raise funds and encourage community support of the hospital and related healthcare programs.

Over 20 people attended a beautiful Appreciation Tea in honour of Linda Karleen who has volunteered on behalf of the SCHA for 17 years. A recent silent auction at the SCHA Thrift Store attracted lots of shopper's attention. The painting was a moody landscape by Eugene Sandrini, a French painter 1925-1998. June was another busy month at Silverstone. The Residents Council meeting on June 11 was well attended with 8 residents and 1 family member plus 2 Recreation staff. SCHA members display information and baked goods in front of the Thrift Store in celebration of Healthcare Auxiliary Day. Members also held a bake/plant/craft sale in Trail Bay Mall down by Westland Insurance, and the Gift Shop in the Sechelt Hospital offered 10% off!
