To provide volunteer services that enhance the quality of healthcare of people living on the Sunshine Coast. To raise funds and encourage community support of the hospital and related healthcare programs.
The Sunshine Coast Lions Club recently donated funds to purchase a new steamer for the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary Loan Cupboard. Volunteers and patients had a wonderful Valentines morning on 2nd floor south. Martha Ware with the help of the patients made some beautiful sewn fabric hearts to compliment 15 festive flower arrangements put together by Lynne Sturm, Dee Reynolds, Mary Jackson & Carole Murray. A baby gift basket was delivered by Pat Dallin to the first baby born at Sechelt hospital in 2023. Faye Anderson, a beautiful baby girl, was born on January 3. She is pictured here with her sister Ellie and mum Sophie.
The Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary Granting Program is now open for applications. Last year we awarded over $70,000 to worthy healthcare programs. Details and application form can be found at HERE. The deadline for submissions is February 28.
