To provide volunteer services that enhance the quality of healthcare of people living on the Sunshine Coast. To raise funds and encourage community support of the hospital and related healthcare programs.

Halfmoon Bay Auxiliary member Kym Barnett (Kym's Plants), very generously donated 14 small live Christmas trees to 2nd floor south residents at Sechelt Hospital. They came with the decorations & lights! Auxiliary volunteers had a fabulous time helping the patients decorate them for their personal space beside their beds! Everyone was thrilled.?
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The SCHA bought new Christmas trees for Sechelt Hospital’s lobby, 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors and for the cafeteria. On Sunday branch members had fun decorating them. Ho Ho Ho..?
On behalf of all BC Healthcare Auxiliaries, President Diane Thornton accepted Lt. Governor Janet Austin’s invitation to tea at Government House in mid-August. Carole Murray, Vice President of the BCAHA and SCHA Halfmoon Bay member, accompanied her. What a great day for a parade! Halfmoon Bay Branch participated in the Pender Harbour May Day parade on May 21 and apart from having fun won 3rd place!! Lovely to see our members Anne Selder, Mary Jackson, Diane Albert and Maureen Lee out and about in their “blues”. ❤️
The Province of British Columbia has made a proclamation that May 7th is “HEALTHCARE AUXILIARIES DAY”. In celebration drop by and see us at Sunnycrest Mall, the SCHA Thrift Store and at Trail Bay Mall this Saturday.
