To provide volunteer services that enhance the quality of healthcare of people living on the Sunshine Coast. To raise funds and encourage community support of the hospital and related healthcare programs.

The AGM was held November 27th at the Sechelt Legion. Guest speakers were Lynda Avis, President BCAHA, Dave Hawkins, Sechelt Hospital Foundation and Lauren Tindall, VCH, Operations Director, Sunshine Coast. The Halfmoon Bay branch held its November Bake, Craft and Plant sale on November 25th at Trail Bay Mall. A lovely selection of Christmas crafts and plants accompanied the yummy baking and the ever popular Apple Pies. Many thanks to the willing bakers, crafters, happy sales crew and Elizabeth Koll (our plant lady)
The 5th annual Christmas sale for the Thrift Store was held at the Sechelt Indian Band hall on Saturday, November 18th. The many shoppers were very happy with the well set up displays and went home with great bargains on Christmas decor, decorations and gifts. Congratulations to all who worked to make the sale a success.
Loan Cupboard provides free hospital equipment The Loan Cupboard isn’t a cupboard at all! The Hopkins Landing branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary held its annual Fall Bazaar on Nov 4th at Harmony Hall. It was a successful and fun day enjoyed by volunteers and the community.

The Halfmoon Bay branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary has provided $10,000 from its Memorial Fund to purchase new physiotherapy equipment for the Pender Harbour Health Centre. Memorial funds are usually given to individual branches of the Auxiliary in memory of loved ones for the branch to support a healthcare initiative in their community.
