Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary
Bursary Program

The Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary (SCHA) is committed to supporting students wishing to pursue a career, or upgrade their skills, in healthcare. As such, some financial support may be available through our bursary program. 

Bursary Categories:

Post-secondary Student Bursary

Formerly, Mature Student Bursary, this bursary is for students who are:

  • Newcomers to the Sunshine Coast who want to enter a healthcare program,
  • Sunshine Coast residents who want to upgrade their healthcare training and skill set, or
  • Sunshine Coast residents who have been out of secondary school for more than one year and want to enter a career in healthcare.

Applications for this bursary must be submitted on or before June 1 of the current year.

Legacy Bursary

This bursary is for students who are members of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary (SCHA) or related to a member of the SCHA pursuing studies in healthcare and/or upgrading their training.

Applications for this bursary must be submitted on or before June 1 of the current year.

School District 46

The SCHA provides funds to School District 46 for the awarding of bursaries to students pursuing a career in healthcare. The School District selects students for this bursary using the following criteria:

Financial need, volunteer, community involvement and contribution to school life, and grade point average.
