On May 27 friends of Betty Laidlaw gathered to wish her a happy retirement from the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary Loan Cupboard.
After 30 years she decided it was time to hang up the yellow gloves and put her apron on the hook by the exit door. Betty was our leader, mentor, “mother” and friend and we will miss her, although we will keep her phone number on speed dial for the time being. Betty has been the face of volunteerism and has inspired us to follow in her footsteps.
