The HMB branch hosted a 100th birthday party for Bertie at Totem Lodge on May 13. Son Gordon, Council member Alice Lutes and many Auxiliary members turned up to sing Happy Birthday. Cards from the Queen and Prime Minister were read out.
Bertie joined the Auxiliary in 1979 and was an active member well into her 90s.
