Saturday, May 9 was Auxiliary Day on the Sunshine Coast and about 20 members of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary gathered at Davis Bay to celebrate a successful year.

MLA Nicholas Simons was in attendance to lend his support. Volunteers put in 70,000 hours and raised over half a million dollars for Sechelt Hospital and about $12,000 in bursaries for local students. “We work with our community and our community is incredibly supportive of the auxiliary,” first vice-president Fran Miller said. ~ The Coast Reporter
