The Annual General Meeting of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary was held at the Sechelt Legion Hall November 25th with President, Candice Sayre, presiding.
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 am with 81 members and 6 guests in attendance. The Auxiliary Affirmation was read in unison.
Remembrance Ceremony honoured those members who were deceased or in care during 2019.
Candice introduced and welcomed guests, Gerry Latham-Director of Sechelt Hospital, Frank Bellfry-Vuce Chair SHF, Allan Forest-web page manager, Reg Dickson (Lynne)-Music Programs, Sophie Woodruff, Coast Reporter.
Executive was introduced – Candice Sayre-President, Warren Jones-1st Vice, Jen Gray (absent)-2nd Vice, Barb Bell-Treasurer, Carole Murray-Past President, Gail Croteau-Secretary.
Past Presidents that were in attendance were recognized. There were 4 present.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Barb Bell reviewed the contents of the circulated Financial Report.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORT: Publicity Position – Jackie Jones-Cox.
MOTION: MOVE THAT THE TERM OF BARB BELL, BOARD TREASURER, BE EXTENDED ONE (1) YEAR AS PERMITTED UNDER BYLAW PART 3(4) CARRIED
MOTION: MOVE THAT THE TERM OF GAIL CROTEAU, BOARD SECRETARY, BE EXTENDED ONE (1) YEAR AS PERMITTED UNDER BYLAW PART 3(4) CARRIED
Service Awards were presented to members who have served 20-60 years.
Outstanding Service Awards were presented to: Gwen Kievel, Ian Munroe, John Grainger, Martha Ware, Wendy Hunt, Marion Chell, Betty Masson, Gail Crotreau.
Community Service Awards, Coast Reporter: Sophie Woodruff, Reg Dickson: Music Program.
Carole Murray installed the Executive Officers for 2020.
