Last week our Thrift Store Co-Chair, Lorna Snazell and Secretary Maureen Hamblin followed up on an idea from Jane Macdonald Executive Director of the Sechelt Hospital Foundation to do a little something for the clients of the Mental Health and Substance Use Services.
This valuable service does not close for the holidays. They got together 18 Christmas mugs from the Store and filled them with chocolates and wrapped each in a festive bag. This is the lovely response from Brent Brown Clinical Coordinator for the inpatient Psychiatry Unit and all of the Sunshine Coasts Mental Health and Substance Use Services: “I would like to thank you for your generous and beautiful handmade cups and chocolate that will be given to our patients as they come and go from our unit. They will have an extra reason to smile when things might not be going so well for them. Again, thank you so much, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
